Opened in 2006 on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, The Davidson Academy of Nevada is a free public day school for profoundly gifted middle and high school students on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The curriculum is personalized to matched to each student's abilities, not their age.

Qualifications: Score in 99.9th percentile on IQ/achievement tests and be at advanced middle school level across all subjects

Program Dates / Length: Follows the University of Nevada, Reno calendar for fall and spring semesters

Housing:

Cost / Availability of Financial Aid: The Academy is a free public school. If an Academy student takes University classes above and beyond high school graduation requirements, then their parents must cover the costs associated with these courses. There is a scholarship fund available to address the needs of students who require financial assistance to pay University courses, fees and books. With the Residential Program, room and board fees apply to all students. In addition, out of state students will be required to pay tuition.

Credit Awarded: Middle and high school credit; along with dual enrollment for college courses if applicable
