Program Description:

HSIA is a travel-study program for students interested in poetry, art, Latin, Greek, ice-cream. adventure, and Italian language & culture. Trips to see great art & architecture, from classical to contemporary, illuminate classes. Students attends festivals, jazz concerts, operas, visit Florence, Ravenna & learn to connect individually to the beauty Italy contains. At HSIA, we all learn together.

Program Dates / Length: June 23rd to July 18th (extra optional Archaeology Boot-Camp July 18th - July 29th with home base in Paestum)

Housing: Home base is a turn-of-the-century Italian schoolhouse in the hills outside Assisi

Cost / Availability of Financial Aid: 3,650 All students who apply by March 15th are automatically eligible for our 250 dollar EER (early enrollment reduction). Work-study and merit scholarships are available, including the chance to be a counselor-in-training at our HS Kids program.. HS is committed to making it possible for enthusiastic and dedicated students to attend. If you are seriously interested in coming to Humanities Spring in Assisi this summer, please go ahead and apply and we will do our best to make it happen. extra optional HS Archaeology Boot-Camp: 1600 dollars for students attending the standard HSIA 2012 session. For students who apply by March 15th, Boot-Camp will cost 1,400 dollars.

Credit Awarded: Students have often obtained high school credit for courses completed at HSIA. Students have also placed into 2nd year college Italian.
